When my boyfriend, Elijah, and I went to San Francisco in June we stayed in the San Remo Hotel, which was the cutest; however, I let Elijah be in charge of picking the hotel and he happened to find one of the only hotels I know of that had a COMMUNITY BATHROOM! Yes, you read that right, we shared showers and toilets with the whole floor. But, it ended up being a great place to stay if you're on a budget. We also went to the aquarium while we were there and I was hugged by a special needs man while I was taking pictures of the jellyfish. His name was Tony. Later we walked to City Lights, which is my favorite bookstore, and bought some books. Then we walked through Chinatown and had dinner at an expensive Italian restaurant called Pinocchio where I had linguine with calamari in a garlic tomato sauce. Then we walked back to the hotel and passed out at 8 pm. Literally passed out.
The next day we walked to the Bohemian Cigar Store where I ordered an Americano and Elijah got a cappuccino while we split a coffee cake. Then we started out on a two hour long walk all the way to Haight and Ashbury which made me so ridiculously sore. You know those San Francisco hills? Yeah, we walked that. When we arrived we were starved and had lunch at a yummy Thai food place, Ploy II, where I ordered a yellow curry dish with chicken. Then we went to this huge record shop at the end of the street called Amoeba and I bought a First Aid Kit vinyl. After all that adventure we decided to take a taxi back to the hotel and got ready for dinner. We went to Fog Harbor on the pier and split the baked oysters and the seafood penne. Later we walked to the candy store and bought salt water taffy which we ate on a bench facing Alcatraz and watched the sun go down.
