The Perfect Party Dress

Wednesday, July 30, 2014 / , ,

Dress French Connection | Ankle Boots Pina Colada (similar here) | Hat Free People

Kylee is such an amazing photographer who has also shot with Caitlin Claire, so I was absolutely thrilled when she reached out to me. This shoot was very last minute, but we pulled together quite nicely despite the 110 degree weather and seeking air conditioning whenever possible. We stumbled upon all three of these locations and I couldn't be happier.

All Black Swim

Monday, July 28, 2014 / , ,

Black Bikini Top (similar here & here) | Black Bikini Bottom (similar here & here)

This may be boring compared to all of those brightly colored swimsuits out right now, but this suit is by-far my favorite two piece I own. An all black swimsuit is something every woman needs in their summer wardrobe... consider it the little black dress of swimsuits, timeless, sexy, yet classy.

Madewell Sale

Saturday, July 26, 2014 / , , ,

Madewell is one of my favorite stores. I love their simple designs, soft fabrics, and student discounts. Oh, and another thing... they have incredible sales frequently! Here are some of my top picks from this weekends online sale... hurry, sale ends July 29th.

  1. This beach tee. Super slouchy, looks extremely soft, and cheap? Count me in!
  2. These sneaks are the bomb! Vans makes great shoes, but have you ever seen a pair like this?
  3. Tunics are one of the greatest designs ever and the fact that this one is patterned with paisley... yes please.
  4. Now, I haven't owned a one-piece suit since I was probably seven years old. But they have stepped up their game and I have realized the power in protecting your skin from the harsh Arizona sun rays. This suit is amazing!
  5. If you are into the retro look these shades are the shades for you!
  6. Last, but not least, this tote is the bee's knees! Such a great design and can be worn with virtually any outfit no matter the time of year.

San Francisco Photo Diary

Friday, July 25, 2014 / ,

When my boyfriend, Elijah, and I went to San Francisco in June we stayed in the San Remo Hotel, which was the cutest; however, I let Elijah be in charge of picking the hotel and he happened to find one of the only hotels I know of that had a COMMUNITY BATHROOM! Yes, you read that right, we shared showers and toilets with the whole floor. But, it ended up being a great place to stay if you're on a budget. We also went to the aquarium while we were there and I was hugged by a special needs man while I was taking pictures of the jellyfish. His name was Tony. Later we walked to City Lights, which is my favorite bookstore, and bought some books. Then we walked through Chinatown and had dinner at an expensive Italian restaurant called Pinocchio where I had linguine with calamari in a garlic tomato sauce. Then we walked back to the hotel and passed out at 8 pm. Literally passed out.
The next day we walked to the Bohemian Cigar Store where I ordered an Americano and Elijah got a cappuccino while we split a coffee cake. Then we started out on a two hour long walk all the way to Haight and Ashbury which made me so ridiculously sore. You know those San Francisco hills? Yeah, we walked that. When we arrived we were starved and had lunch at a yummy Thai food place, Ploy II, where I ordered a yellow curry dish with chicken. Then we went to this huge record shop at the end of the street called Amoeba and I bought a First Aid Kit vinyl. After all that adventure we decided to take a taxi back to the hotel and got ready for dinner. We went to Fog Harbor on the pier and split the baked oysters and the seafood penne. Later we walked to the candy store and bought salt water taffy which we ate on a bench facing Alcatraz and watched the sun go down.

Wild Thing

Vest Urban Outfitters (similar here) | Bodysuit American Apparel | Ankle Boots Seychelles (similar here & here)

I had so much fun shooting with Jaci last week. We adventured into the desert and up a mountain to get these shots and it was definitely worth it. It was a little awkward at first walking around in a thong bodysuit, but I embraced the freedom and got amazing photos in return. After all, no pants are the best pants.
